Find Your Inner Genius with Play featuring Jeff Harry

For this week's Inspirational Leadership Podcast I spoke with Jeff Harry. Jeff shows individuals and companies how to tap into their true selves, to feel their happiest and most fulfilled — all by playing. Jeff has worked with Google, Microsoft, Southwest Airlines, Adobe, the NFL, Amazon, and Facebook, helping their staff to infuse more play into the day-to-day.

Jeff is an international speaker who has presented at conferences such as INBOUND, SXSW, and Australia’s Pausefest, showing audiences how major issues in the workplace can be solved using play.  Jeff was selected by BambooHR & Engagedly as one of the Top 100 HR Influencers of 2020 for his organizational development work around dealing with toxic people in the workplace. His play work has most recently been featured in the Upworthy, Mashable, Shondaland, and the NY Times. He has also been featured on AJ+, SoulPancake, the SF Chronicle, and CNN.

While we spend most of our time pretending to be important, serious grownups, it's when we let go of that facade and just play, that the real magic happens. Fully embracing your own nerdy genius — whatever that is — gives you the power to make a difference and change lives.  Jeff believes that we already have many of the answers we seek, and by simply unleashing our inner child, we can find our purpose and, in turn, help to create a better world.

The Success-Energy Equation with Michelle Cederberg

For this week's episode of Inspirational Leadership I spoke with Michelle Cederberg. For over 17 years she has captivated audiences across North America with her empowering and humorous messages about how to set worthwhile goals, get energized for success, and live a bigger life.

If You‘re Not Uncomfortable, You‘re Not Leading with Dr. Melanie Peacock

For this week's Inspirational Leadership Podcast I spoke with Dr. Melanie Peacock, who has over 30 years of experience as a Human Resource Management professional, is an Associate Professor at Mount Royal University, past president of the Faculty Association and runs her own boutique firm, Double M Training & Consulting.

Melanie is a published author of various best-selling HR books including The HR Professional’s Guide to Change Management and Understanding Human Resources Management, 1^st Canadian Edition.  As well, Melanie is an active and sought-after local and national media commentator, having done over 150 interviews in the past few years.  Melanie was presented with HRD’s 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award in the HR Industry at the Canadian HR Awards.  As well, in 2021 and 2020 she was named to HRD magazine’s list of the top 100 HR global professionals and was acknowledged in HRD magazine’s 2017 Hotlist as one of the top 30, most influential HR practitioners in Canada.

Melanie obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) at the University of Alberta, her MBA from Western University and her PhD from the University of Calgary.

Being a Consciously Inclusive Leader with Dr. Steve Yacovelli

Connecting Human-to-Human at Work with Sonya Law

For this week's Inspirational Leadership Podcast I spoke with Sonya Law. Sonya is the Founder of SL Human Resources Consulting. She received her Human Resources Degree from Deakin University and completed her Teaching Degree with Monash University and recently obtained her MBA, providing opportunities to work and study abroad in Europe and Asia.

Sonya has recruited thousands of people and has a talent for getting the right people on the bus in the right seats. She has created positive, inclusive workplace cultures in Telecommunications, Government, Pharmaceutical, Water Utilities, FMCG and more recently Mining and Construction for Sullair (Hitachi Group Company) where she achieved an innovation award in 2020 for solving society's problems for social connectedness during the pandemic. In 2020 Sonya started her own business to spread her wings and pursue her passion for consulting. She now helps companies develop their human resources, achieve cultural and strategic alignment and high performing organizations.

Bretton is an expert in company culture development who is consulted by companies and leaders worldwide to help design, develop and build high-performing cultures. Prior to founding CultureGene, Bretton spent 16 years as the Managing Partner of a leading executive search firm based in London working with startups and high-growth companies in the UK, Europe and USA.

For 30 years as a management consultant, executive coach, and facilitator, Liz has helped clients such as American Express, Orvis, The Girl Scouts, Comcast, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, and Highlights for Children solve their thorniest problems while strengthening their top and bottom lines. Her specialty is developing high performing leaders and workforces.
